The Agora Path of Light is an engaging and interactive Blue Mountain light trail that will thrill the senses and connect visitors to the forest.
The Blue Mountains have been one of the most popular Ontario staycation destinations for decades. And each year new attractions are popping up in the village and surrounding towns that make a visit to this popular resort town even more appealing.
One of the most recent winter experiences in the area is the Blue Mountain “Agora” light trail which takes visitors on a magical journey through the forests atop the resorts towering ski hills.
The Agora: Path of Light at Blue Mountain winds across the summit of the Blue Mountain Resort Village. The circular pathway is laid out with a dazzling array of interactive light and sound installations that explore the five elements: earth, air, water, fire, and space.
What Is The Agora Path Of Light Like?
Visitors who join this experience can either start the experience from the top of the ski hills or take the stunning gondola ride up and enjoy the twinkling lights of Blue Mountain Village below.
The Agora Blue Mountain light trail was designed and installed by the talented team at Limbic Media. Their team includes members that have worked on projects for Cirque du Soleil as well as an Anishinaabek healer who advised the creators on the Indigenous angles that the light trail explores.
The project was designed to bring to life the spirit of the forests and dazzle explorers along the way. The installations combine light and sound along with the natural elements of the surrounding forest with the goal of giving visitors the experience of “communicating” with their natural surroundings.
Agora is in its second year of production and began its 2021 show on August 20. Tickets start at $29 dollars and include a round-trip on the open-air gondola along with the Agora light path itself. The show runs until October 31.
